FEBRUARY 24TH

19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 1:19-20)

A few Sundays ago at the ministry center, our watch service was about to begin and I realized nothing was appearing on screen. I went through all the checks needed; the laptop was on and connected, the HDMI wire connections were fine, the TV was on but it still wasn’t picking up any signal. I was dumbfounded until I finally figured out that the HDMI splitter box, which connects my laptop to the different TV screens, was not plugged in and powered on.

We live in an electronic age where power is of such importance. As individuals, we may be “turned on” or functioning normally, but if the Holy Spirit’s power is not infused into or awakened within us, we fall short of a fruitful life. Jesus told His disciples in Acts 1:4, “Don't leave Jerusalem yet. Wait here for the Father to give you the Holy Spirit, just as I told you he has promised to do.” In other words before doing any ministry, to wait for His power (Acts 1:8) to fall upon us; the One who guides us into all truth, the One who allows us to operate in our gifting, and the One who empowers us to live victoriously.

God gives us His “incomparably great power” through His Spirit, the same power which raised Jesus from the dead. Wow, imagine that? There is no atomic source on earth that can produce what God has accomplished after 3 days in the tomb. In our 1820 group last night, we were talking about how Defibrillator’s may be able to jump start a person’s heart right after it stopped, but not after a few days had passed. No human technology has been able to achieve the results God has with the same power living and moving in us.

Any time you feel discouraged, doubtful or defeated, remember the power of God in your life. The Devil has no grip on whom God has already taken hold of. Make sure you are “plugged in” and “switched on” to His unlimited power for we are not just called to operate naturally, but to live our lives out supernaturally.

From worship leader, Evile Ieriko via What's Going On. Thank you Evile for sharing with us!

It’s amazing how the outcome of situations in our daily lives really depends on what we choose to hear. No wonder scriptures tells us “faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God”. So for me HEARING praise and worship music has changed my life! Yes you noticed I didn’t say “listening”! I encourage all of us not to just turn on the Christian radio or or our playlist as a habit but to choose to hear and participate what we are listening to. Results will be life changing! God bless!!!

From Karen Arizumi on reaction to Last Sunday's Service, "Fresh Eyes, Part 1" where Pastor Tim spoke about how to see your partner with fresh eyes to remind yourself of why you got together with them in the first place, and about God's hand in marriages. Thank you Karen for sharing with us via "What's Going On!"

Wow! Only God!!! Pastor Tim, your sermon gave me chicken skin as I was just studying the exact same thing this past week. I've been reading "The Image Maker" by Brian and Candice Simmons, creator of Passion Translation. He wrote "he formed Eve from a rib out of the side of Adam; not out of his head to rule over him, nor out of his feet to be trampled upon by him, but out of his side to be equal with him, under his arm so he could protect her, next to his heartbeat so he could love her. Adam lost a rib but gained a wonderful completion through the woman. God himself custom-built the woman for him! The Father brought her to the man as his second self. The woman provided a brand new perspective for Adam's world. Her insights and feelings opened up for him new realms of spiritual reality. He would never be the same. For Eve, opening her eyes to see herself reflected in the Creator's eyes must have been a moment she never forgot. The Father's intent was that the two would become one. Marriages can be made in heaven! So it was with our heavenly Bridegroom, the Lord Jesus Christ. Placed in the deep sleep of death, out of his wounded side came blood and water that cleansed and purchased the bride, bringing her to new life." Reading this made my marriage even more meaningful. I love you guys, awesome service from start to finish. Love you lots, Karen
