GENERAL MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES:

 

Service Signs around Kipapa

Purpose: Help lead our church family and guests to our Sunday morning gatherings

Details: Between Friday late afternoon and early Saturday morning, grabbing the A-frame signs and banner from a house close to Kipapa and putting them around the block around Kipapa, including in front of the parking lots. Then after service on Sunday Collecting the signs and returning them.

 

Refreshments- We are looking for someone who is willing to be in charge of bringing water to celebration service events. The person will be asked to purchase, store, and bring bottled water (refrigerated or iced) in a cooler to these events. All purchases will be covered by the church and reimbursed to the individual.

 

Keyboard player - this initial once a month position is to play the keyboard as part of the worship team. There will be an onboarding process for the person interested, including first connecting with worship leader, Bano Simbre.

 

Camera operator - this initial once a month position is to operate the main video camera for the "live" online service. Responsibilities include zooming in and out, and maneuvering the camera on a tripod to focus on the subjects as needed.

 

Connect Table - We are looking for individuals to serve once a month by standing behind at the connect table after service as needed. This is to assist with sign ups and provide needed information.

 

Ushers/Greeters - If you love people, like to show them around with the spirit of Aloha, this is a ministry for you. You will join a team scheduled to serve one Sunday a month. Please see Pastor Terence.

 

Seasonal Decor

Purpose: Creating an atmosphere of beauty on Sunday mornings

Details: develop a vision for decor and implement, also recruiting others to participate. Special dates include Easter, Christmas, mother's day, other holidays or services as desired throughout the year

 

Hospitality Serving Team - During Sunday celebratory events, we need a team of people to set up the food table, serve those in the food line, and help bag food, clean up the area, and take out the trash. Please see Pastor Terence.

 

Ministry Center Maintenance 

Purpose: Help create a clean and welcoming atmosphere to our ministry center

Details: Once a week, not during ministry times, cleaning the bathroom, sweeping, dusting, Swiffer, empty rubbish, etc.

 

Seasonal Ministry Center Deep Clean

Purpose: Help create a clean and welcoming atmosphere to our ministry center 

Details: 2-3 hours 4 times a year,  purging items in attic, shredding papers, organizing the attic bins, etc. 

 

Social Media - 2x/week - Create & Post content to our church's FB & IG profile

 

 

Keiki Ministry

 

Lesson prepper - Looking for one or two people to help prep lesson crafts on their own time this often involves cutting/gluing paper/string or separating items into groups.

 

Check-in table person - someone to help families check-in or help new families, 8:45-9:30am, looking for 2-4 people

 

Teachers - 2 more teachers in the classroom, either for the Elementary class or Pre-K/Kinder class

 

Special Events/Admin - looking for someone with a heart for family ministry to help plan/execute special Keiki/Family events or holiday events, will work with Angelina

Amplify Youth Ministry

 

Youth Leader - Looking for people who enjoy pouring in to our next generation. Helping to create a safe space for young people to grow in their faith. Responsibilities at hand include but are not limited to: attending Amplify at least once a month, attending monthly leader meetings, willing to lead small group discussion time with students.

 

Media Table - Looking for 2-3 people who are willing to run the media table (ie music, slides, and any other service element being ran from the computer)

 

Amplify Social Media - Looking for someone to run our Amplify Instagram page. Creating, capturing, and editing of all content that is posted on our instagram page. At least two posts a week.

 

Provide a Dinner- Looking for anyone and everyone who are willing to provide dinner for our Amplify students on Thursday nights. We have a running list of volunteers and a schedule to sign up on.

 

Special Events Planner - Looking for someone to work closely with Mykel and the other Amplify leaders who will spearhead the planning process of special event nights such as Park Nights, Game Nights, and Holiday Parties.
