Aloha HCM Fam! I wanted to remind you that tomorrow is the last day to sign up for our "Worship Night Under the Stars." We are going to have a wonderful time of worship at a private Waialua fruit farm. Hopefully you've seen Pastor Mykel's video giving you a tour of this place (if not, check it out below), but I wanted to share with you a little more about what makes this site truly special (hint, it's not #1 or even #2!)
1. First of all, the view is amazing. Check this out! Can you imagine this at sunset? They have this platform that looks out over all the land and sea. People plan their once-in-a-lifetime vacations to see a view like this, and it's just a 20 minute drive for us!
Imagine at night, with the city lights far removed, we will be able to see the stars and really envision lifting our voices to heaven to praise our Lord.
2. Second, the fruit! Oh my goodness, we went to check out this place with our kids a couple months ago and the oranges and avocados were in season. I hear that now the LYCHEES are out. You can pick some right off the tree and eat them. Can't get fresher than that! There are some farm animals that my kids loved looking at, and just so much to explore and enjoy outdoors.
3. What makes this site truly special? Pastor Jared shared with us about the farm's owner's vision for this place. Their heart is to see this beautiful land used for GOD'S PURPOSE. Rather than be concerned about profiting off of the fruit, they desire that it be FRUITFUL for His Kingdom. They walk the perimeter of this huge farm regularly, simply praying over it, inviting God into this space. You can really feel the peace and provision as you walk quietly among the trees. It is a holy space.
I don't know if or when we will be able to hold another event here, so I hope you'll be able to join us at this Friday's worship night. If you're worried about the drive or how to get there, I encourage you to just RSVP and we will find a way for you. I hope you'll be able to see and feel this place with your own eyes and spirit, to take some time to worship together and simply be with one another.
