When you think of the word "prosperity" what comes to mind?... For me, the answer was "Lets ask Google." So I took out my phone and simply Googled "prosperity" and this is the definition that I got. "Prosperity: The state of being successful usually by making a lot of money." Dissatisfied with this answer, due to looking at my wallet and seeing a lack of "prosperity", I decided to pray and ask God what His definition of the word is, and the answer blew my mind...

This is God's definition. "Prosperity: The state of being successful by living a life that looks like Jesus. Being in the word, prayerful, and striving to be more and more like Christ every single day."

See, the difference between Googles definition and Gods definition is significant! The world says we need money to be successful, God says we need Jesus to be successful. In God, we could be dirt poor, yet still prosperous. We could be deaf, mute, and/or blind, yet still prosperous. We could get fired from our jobs, lose all of our possessions, and have our relationships ruined, yet still be prosperous. It's not about what we can have/gain on this earth, it's about what eternity has to offer us, and are we willing to prosper towards that?... God says "It's totally up to you."

Proverbs 21:21 NIV

"Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor."

I hope this little story encourages you today to remember that with Jesus, we've got all that we need. Love you all and God bless!
